| In the late 80's we planted our first Christmas trees and started growing a small number of Poinsettias. We now grow about 4,000 poinsettias with many going to churches and florists. We also grow Easter lilies and other potted plants for Easter. We start planting seed in November for spring plants. We open the last of March with seed potatoes, onion sets, bulk garden seed, vegetable transplants, bedding plants & hanging baskets. |
| Brawners is a family owned and operated greenhouse, nursery & Christmas tree farm. In 1977 we built our first small greenhouse to raise plants for our own use. Soon we had friends bringing us seeds and asking us to start them for them. Over time, we outgrew that first building and in 1979 we added a second larger greenhouse. We continued to add buildings as we grew and now have 7 greenhouses with a total of about 15,000 square feet of growing space. |
| We welcome the chance to give advice to new and seasoned gardeners alike with the hope of the younger generation taking up the interest of planting their own garden. Many families are growing their own veggies either in gardens or pots to cut some of their food costs. It gives us great satisfaction to know we can help provide these services.
